Top Things I explored in the Rishikesh
Lakshman Jhula and Ram Jhula
The Lakshman Jhula is an iron suspension bridge built to cross
the river Ganges. It offers an amazing panoramic view of the river Ganges and
Rishikesh city of its temples. It is said that Lord Lakshman crossed the river
Ganga with the help of the rope, later this bridge was constructed with the
help of the rope. The ironic bridge is the center of Rishikesh tourism. The one
thing you can feel about the Laksham Jhula is when you will stand on the bridge
then you will feel some vibration, this is the peculiarity of it. Though it looks
scary, trust me you will get the Rishikesh view from this bridge. The
beauty of the Rishikesh is picturesque; you cannot even take off your eyes once
you start exploring Yoga city.

Parmarth Niketan Ashram at Rishikesh
A holy place situated on the edge of the river Ganges. It is
situated in the lap of the Himalayas. When you cross the Lakshman Jhula Bridge,
a right goes towards the Parmarth Ashram. It is the largest Ashram in Rishikesh. Parmarth Niketan provides a clean, pure, and sacred atmosphere as well
as abundant. Daily rituals are performed along with the meditation classes on
the edge of the river Ganges. A 14 feet Shiva statue is placed on the bank of the river
Ganges which ads the flavor in the view of the Ashram. It was my fortune to be
a part of the cultural program, which includes cultural and spiritual programs, acclaimed musicians, and spiritual leaders. These 2 hours were
the best time of my life. There are no charges to visit this spiritual holy
place.

Shopping Market at Rishikesh
It is one of the best areas for shopping. There are lots of
shops for clothes, Jewellery, precious stones, books, spiritual things and lots
of other things. There are a few more market which is close to the Ram Jhula and
Lakshman Jhula. This is one of the best places to shop for traditional clothes.
Many yoga tourists visit the market to buy yoga clothes. The only thing you need
to follow here is bargaining, you must have bargaining skills while buying anything
in this market.

Most Awaited Rishikesh River Rafting
Rishikesh means a site for adventure lovers, isn’t it?
Whoever visits Rishikesh, it becomes their wish to do rafting in the River Ganges.
Rishikesh River Rafting is an enthralling experience to feel. You will find several companies that will take you to the rafting point. The average charges are 300
per person to 500 INR. The instructor at the rafting boat will charge you 1500 to 2000
for videos per boat. I would suggest you bargain with him, contribute to the group, and circulate the videos. If you have your own Gro pro then it is best to click the pictures and videos.
One of the thrilling adventures of Uttarakhand is River Rafting at Rishikesh |
There are so many adventure tours which take you to River Rafting point |
I would also suggest you visit Triveni ghat for Ganga
aarti. It has totally different vibes compared with others. I couldn’t
explore it due to a shortage of time. Rishikesh is one such place which you will
feel to visit again and again.
The ideal time to Visit Rishikesh Uttarakhand
Situated on the edge of the Himalayan mountain range, this holy
city can be visited throughout the years. When it comes to the best time to
visit Rishikesh then October to February is the ideal time to visit. This month
is the coldest in Rishikesh and it is advised to carry warm clothes while
visiting during this period. March to June is a little dry due to the summertime. The
temperature ranges between 35 degrees. This is the time when you witness a little crowd at this place.
Monsoon here receives average to heavy rain making a river full of load with water. River rafting gets closed during this period due to the overflow of the river. For one who is a yoga lover then it is the perfect time to
feel the beauty of the surroundings. Rishikesh being a beautiful destination has its
own charm in different seasons.

There are so many hotels and resorts around Rishikesh. Being a
holy city there are so many options to stay around the corner of Rishikesh. I
would recommend staying near Lakshman Jhula. The cafes and Yoga studio make it a great place to interact with other travelers. One who is a bag backer and
